Although they are a bit older, I am still worried about the foods that they eat. We have recently tried Peter Rabbit Organic Fruit Pouches. These organic fruit snacks come in many different flavors such as mango/banana/orange, apple/grape and strawberry/banana. My kids love the easy to twist tops. In order to eat the snack, you need to squeeze the pouch. It's a delicious snack for kids (and admittedly adults as well). There is no refrigeration needed so you can just drop them into your kids' lunch bags. Courtesy pouches were provided to me by Peter Rabbit Organics for this product review. For more information about their products, please visit www.peterrabbitorganics.com. I have partnered with Peter Rabbit Organics to host a product giveaway!!! The product giveaway winner will receive 10 assorted fruit pouches from This giveaway will be randomly selected among registered email program members by September 30th. In order to have a chance to win this prize package, please visit Join Free Email Program and register for the free email program. As always, your information is never shared with any third party. Eco-friendly organization: People for Bikes 08/19/2010
Now that my boy is riding a bike without training wheels, we are already thinking of his next bike. Unfortunately, there is not enough bike lanes in most American cities. Riding a bike is a great form of exercise. Also, studies have shown that by riding a bike to work instead of driving a car, you can save up to $500 in gasoline costs per year. That is a lot of money. Also, it reduces the amount of air pollution associated with driving cars as well. The following is a great not for profit organization that is raising a strong grass roots movement in advocating for more bike lanes and bike friendly laws. Please visit this website for more information, www.peopleforbikes.org. ![]() School supply shopping is always a wonderful annual ritual for my family. I've tried to reuse and recycle as much existing school supplies as possible. However, there are always a few items on the school supply list that needs to be purchased. When there is a need, it's always a relief to find an eco-friendly alternative to traditional ones. For example, I love the Pentel RSVP retractable ball point pens. It comes in eight different colors and best of all, it contains 59% recycled plastic. Pretty impressive! The ink rolls off the tip smoothly and makes me feel like a scholar (even if I am just writing a check). For more information about their product ,please visit www.pentel.com. It's been a great weekend. My son has learned to ride his bicycle without using training wheels! Riding a bicycle is one of those childhood milestones that is met with such anticipation (like a baby learning how to crawl, then walk, riding a bicycle is a symbol of further independence). I personally didn't learn how to ride a bike until my adulthood (growing up in New York City, it seemed like everyone just walked everywhere). Now my daugther is itching to ditch her tricycle but she can hardly reach the pedals of the smallest bike. | AuthorEco-friendly activist trying to make more healthy eco-friendly choices for my family.
