The following are four great eco-friendly printing tips to save the environment and lower your printing costs. 


Print in an eco-friendly ecofont
I came across a website called www.ecofont.eu.  It enables you to download a free font that saves up to 20% on ink when you print in the free ecofont.  That saves money, ink and is great for the environment as well (less ink cartridges to recycle).  Visit this website and download the free font today.  It took me about 10 minutes to install the free font into my computer.

Recycle ink cartridges
Also, do NOT discard your old ink cartridges.  You can bring them to Staples to get them recycled.  Staples will actually provide you with a $3 coupon/credit towards any future Staples purchase just for recycling the ink cartridges.  This is definitely a great service from Staples.  

Print on both sides of your paper.
Most software allows you to print on both sides of the paper, or you can simply print odd pages first and then load the paper back into the printer and then print the even pages.

Never print on colored paper
Whenever possible, use recycled paper or at a minimum, print on plain white paper.
