A huge setback for eco-friendly efforts occurred today as the Obama administration announced their support of having the EPA scale back emission rules for industry.  Industries lobbied aggressively to have scaled back EPA emission standards because they claim that such aggressive regulations will drive them out of business in these difficult economic times.

Instead of relaxing these emission rules, the Obama administration should have offered eco-friendly incentives (such as business tax breaks and credits) to support industries in transitioning their processes to support better emission standards.

Voice your opinion to the Environmental Protection Agency today by writing to the EPA on their website at http://www.epa.gov/lawsregs/howto/index.html
