In honor of Earth Day, two weeks ago, we planted a number of fruits and vegetables in our garden. The strawberries have already begun to grow! In addition to strawberries, we planted three types of tomatoes (cherry, Roman and beefsteak), cucumbers, raspberries, blueberries, spinach, squash, basil, sage and thyme.
We continue to add more fruits and vegetables to our garden each year. A number of stores, such as Target, are offering free grocery bags this week in honor of Earth Day. I've shared with my kids that it's great to have Earth Day on April 22nd each year but every day should be Earth Day. We plan to continue to be more eco-friendly focus in our daily lives. For example, when I travel for work, I plan my schedule so that I can carpool as much as possible with colleagues so that we can save on fuel costs. T
