Again, the race is for a great cause so I tried to comfort myself for going the extra mile and running well with nothing official to show for it. It resembles life in general, we often go the extra mile and do extra work without the recognition or reward. The only thing that keeps us inspired or motivated is the cause we are running for.
I am thinking of running the race again next year. If I don't run the race, I just might be the volunteer at the 1.5 mile mark shouting, "it's time to turn around!"
