The following is a recipe that I use to make my own delicious homemade hummus:
- two cups of cooked chickpeas
- two tablespoons of olive oil
- 4 chopped cloves of cooked garlic
- two tablespoons of lemon juice
- 3 teaspoons of sea salt
To cook the chickpeas, I usually soak the raw chickpeas in a bowl of water overnight and cook the chickpeas in bowling water for about 15 minutes. Mix all of the above ingredients in a md and you will have a delicious homemade hummus. Store in a sealed tight glass container in the refrigerator and it will last above five days. You can vary the garlic and salt amount and adjust it to your taste.
