I have learned how to make my own jewelry recently. Not the plastic beads with cotton string version (which is, by the way, still one of the funnest way to make jewelry), but the sterling silver wire with semi-precious stones and a lobster clasp enclosure version. I borrowed a number of books from the library and watched some youtube videoclips. The necklace took about 15 minutes to make (and that includes re-stringing some loose stones).
My next project will be making jewelry with recycled glass beads (recycled glass beads can be found at major crafts stores and also at garage sales). I'll be posting photos of the result soon!
