I had the opportunity to visit the Raleigh Farmers' Market and was pleasantly surprised by the array of fresh fruits and vegetables sold. From locally grown kale to heirloom tomatoes, there are plenty of seasonal offerings. I love that there are several organic options offered. In addition to these eco-friendly organic offerings, I was impressed by the locally produced offerings. I am learning more about the benefits of being a "loca-viore" (individual who consumes foods that are locally grown and/or produced). A few great discussions with farmers have taught me what are potential plants that I can successfully add to my organic garden.

Remember to bring your own fruit and vegetable baskets or containers. Also, the best value usually comes in a multi-pound option so consider going
