On Saturday, February 10th, 2013, I ran in the 33rd Annual Run for Roses 5k race in Raleigh, NC. I was initially intimidated by the notorious hilly race course but was happy to run my second best 5k time. Not a bad way to start my 2013 race season. I have signed up to run a half marathon in the spring and also signed up to participate in the 1,000 mile club (a club that vows to run 1,000 miles or more this year). I don't know where or how I will find the time to run this year but am looking forward to the challenge.
I had a great time running in the Annual Run for Roses 5k race. The proceeds from the race went to Canines for Service, an organization that trains service dogs for individuals with limited mobility. For more information about this race, please visit http://ncroadrunners.org/runfortheroses/
